Femke van den Berg<\/strong> (1971) cre\u00ebert vanuit haar atelier in Leerdam porseleinen objecten, schalen en lampen. Haar werk kenmerkt zich door een luchtige, frisse en pure uitstraling met een rafelig randje. De vormen zijn visueel po\u00ebtisch en teer, maar doordat ze van porselein zijn, zijn ze verrassend sterk. Wat begon als experimenteren met idee\u00ebn en technieken die ze de afgelopen jaren heeft geleerd en verfijnd, is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een visuele verrijking voor doordachte interieurs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Het maakproces van de Open Face<\/strong> schalen en lampen is intensief en bestaat uit een combinatie van veel geduld, vakmanschap en het laten ontstaan van spontane vormen. Open Face<\/strong> wordt op hoge temperatuur gebakken, daarna volledig transparant of in een lichte kleur geglazuurd, om vervolgens een laatste keer de oven in te gaan.<\/span><\/p>\n

De kleinere Open Cup<\/strong> kommetjes (doorsnede ongeveer 7 cm) zijn uiteraard ook van porselein, met een speelse afwisseling tussen ongeglazuurde en geglazuurde delen en een rafelig randje. Aan de buitenkant zijn de afdrukken zichtbaar van antiek Frans kant. De kommetjes komen in drie kleuren; Mist, Sky en Sea.<\/span><\/p>\n
